NTUC Income has an innovative way to recruit people.
We ask them to register in our recruitment portal, www.income.coop/careers/ and tell us the jobs that they are interested in.
When we have a vacancy, we will contact them to submit an application. This will reduce the time taken to recruit a person, and also ensure that our advertisement is not overlooked by those who are really keen to join us.
We now have 2,000 people who have registered and told us about the jobs that they like. We carry out preliminary screening of these candidates, and will be able to offer them a suitable job as soon as it becomes available.

Mr Tan,
ReplyDeleteI strongly recommend that NTUC be more selective in who they recruit.
I have a Living Policy & a Growth Policy (GP). In the policy document for the GP, there is an an endorsement stating that the sum assured is hereby amended to read $6000 instead of $5500 (using random figures as an example).
I received a statement via post and realised that Income's records reflect $5500 as the sum assured. I informed the agent as well as Income's customer svc reps of this. Both assured me that the records would be updated. I informed Income in writing that I would like a corrected statement sent to me via post.
It has been TWO MONTHS and the online status still reflects the wrong amount.
May I know what I have to do in order for this to be corrected? I am certain you can understand my frustration. All I require is a corrected statement. Afterall, the endorsement bears your signature and is printed on the Income letterhead.
Update:
ReplyDeleteMy Income agent just informed me that the company CANNOT amend the figure to $6000 (as stated in the endorsement issued), but "don't worry" as Income will honour the $6000 amount when the policy matures.
So the bonus rates will be calculated based on the lower amount?
I feel somewhat shortchanged.
I would appreciate your advice on what action to take, even if it is just to get a written explanation on why the higher amount cannot be reflected officially. I will definitely be visiting your blog in anticipation of your reply.
Mr Tan,
ReplyDeleteI was informed that an advanced diploma awarded jointly by MDIS and a recognised American university isn't recognised by NTUC Income's HR dept. Can you confirm if this is true, and the rationale behind it?
Here's thanking you in advance.
Thank you for the information, I found the below link on investment linked policy, refer this for more details
