Culture of Goodies

The organiser of a corporate outdoor event said that they gave out 1,500 goodie bags, with tee-shirts and other attractive items.

1,500 people collected the goodie bags. Only 300 took showed up for the outdoor event.

Is this cheating?

    the organisers should understand and respect human nature. if the only interesting thing about the event is the goodie bag, don't blame the people if they don't stay for the event - think about how to organise a more meaningful event the next time. easier said than done of course.

    that's called a success rate of 20%.
