Question: Who plays tennis
salesman play tennis, 6min
ReplyDeleteI notice that for such questions, the complexity should go higher with:
ReplyDelete(a) the number of hints with "A does something NEXT to B"
(b) the number of rows in the matrix
Some questions/suggestions related to making this type of puzzles more interesting:
1. What is the maximum number of (a) hints in a 5 by 5 matrix for which the puzzle is still solvable?
2. As the matrix goes bigger with (b), the hint can evolve to "A does something 'not more than x houses' away from B"
3. The houses are arranged in a circle instead of a straight line.
4. Hints like "A does something to the left of B".
House5, Blue, Water, Tennis, Dogs, Salesman (24 mins)
ReplyDeleteSalesman play tennis. This is fun, did it in 10 min. I started from the first J puzzle just now and took more than 15 min! Now I'm much better :) I scribble the clues on paper as I read them, e.g. red--green (to indicate red house left of green) much more efficient this way.
ReplyDeleteThanks, look forward to more such puzzles being posted.
