Some people have e-mailed to seek my help to get the low cost Term insurance and low cost investment fund. I have referred the enquiry to an adviser.
As the adviser earns a small commission on selling the low cost product, it is fair that the customer should help the adviser to reduce the time spent to transact the sale.
You can communicate with the adviser by e-mail and telephone. If you decide to buy the product, you can visit the adviser at his office. This will make it worth the while of the adviser.
Help the adviser to help you.
If the agent is willing to sell me low cost Term insurance or investment funds, I will gladly visit his office now!
ReplyDeleteProvided he promises me that he will not try to push me into a high commission product.
If no agent wants to sell such product, let the computer do the job instead.
ReplyDeleteI hope someone can setup such website to let people purchase insurance online.
The agent will always have high commission products on his mind. It is not so much a matter of save time or who visit who. Even if you visit him he will think of ways to sell you his preferred product and chances he will succeed if he is good salesman. Unless you visit INCOME buusiness centre with salaried agents. But one of the salaried agents I know also become own agent later.
ReplyDeleteIf agents continue to behave as salesmen and do not add value it is better to buy online. Online products should cost lesser and as much as the agents' commission. The total commission earned by agents is as much as 130% of the premium paid by clients over 6 years for whole life and endowment.
ReplyDeleteIf the agent cares for the customer it doesn't matter where they meet.
ReplyDeleteOf course the buyer must also be 'automatic" and understanding and mustn't make the poor agent make a few trips just to close a 'C' plan incomeshield and they think they are giving you a million dollar business.
During year end they ask and expect you to give them a few copies of diaries.
