Simpler way to address a letter?

I have to send a letter to CPF. They asked me to mail it to the following address:

CPF Minimum Sum Topping-up Scheme (Retirement Services Dept)
CPF Board
79 Robinson Road
CPF Building
Singapore 068897

Here is a shorter way to address the letter:

CPF Retirement Services Dept
Singapore 068897

I wonder if my letter will arrive there?

I shall try to post a letter to myself as follows:

Tan Kin Lian
Singapore 809744
at

    since you leave in landed property the zip code is unique to you house and should reach you

    Let us know the outcome of your mail. But I thought it would be more descriptive to postman if street name is added as well. Just postal code alone could result in more work done when separating envelopes.

    "CPF Retirement Services Dept Singapore 068897" is quite descriptive but "Tan Kin Lian Singapore 809744" is not so obvious.

    The Singapore Postal Service is actually quite good. I once had a customer from overseas posting a letter to my company using the following:

    COMPANY NAME
    SINGAPOUR

    and it actually arrived at my company!!!

    I think if postal code is unique, they will send it right? If not, how would they know this particular postal code is address to who in a HDB flat?

    Anyway, please let us know the results Mr Tan.

    I think CPF is so well known that if you address it to just "CPF Retirement Services Dept" (without the postal code), it will still reach them.

    If you stay in an apartment, you can try to send a letter to yourself as follows:

    Tan Ah Kow
    #04-56
    Singapore 5501234

    See if it arrives!

    Mr Tan,

    I am going to try sending one to myself too.

    But I wonder if this will make separating of envelopes more troublesome without a street name. What do you all think? Only those familiar with the sorting procedures in SingPost can confirm.

    I quite like this idea.

    I think it should work as there is already sufficient info for the delivery to take place.

    Do not insult the mentality of Sing Post leh.

    Using postal code and unit number, it is simple for them to locate you.

    Many years back, some one send a mail to me with full address and miss out unit number, HDB flat, the mail still reached me.

    I believe Sing Post then make an effort to trace by name, and put the unit number on it.

    I believe Sing Post did go extra miles to do this.

    But since being corporatised and listed, do they still do this?
