Submit income tax return by e-filing

I submitted my income tax return by e-filing. This is the first time that I filed my income tax return way ahead of the deadline.

My previous employer made a mistake with my income statement. The e-filing does not allow me to correct the figure. It was quite troublesome for me. I hope that people who design website think about the customer, and not about their own convenience.

  1. Hi Mr Tan,
I believe it can be saved as a draft first, instead of directly submit it, if you believe that there'll be a change later. Although I am not designing this IRAS system, but I do some design for other kind of submission workflow. Usually, if the process come to the submit stage, there'll be kind of process or workflow that will be triggerred at the same time. Some workflow might be too complicated to be revised.

  2. My father-in-law passed away late-December 2008. Recently, the deceased received a mail by post from IRAS as usual. The deceased has to e-file by law !

  3. mao,it's scary, how can you predict your father-in-law pass away late-Dec 2008? Is it late-Dec 2007?

  6. Hi,

You are correct. It is not necessary for you to enter your Tax and submit it all in the same sitting.

Each time you press the Save & Next button, the information on that page will be saved. Even if you log off and log back on again, the information will still be there :-)

If you have any other questions regarding the e-Filing. Try asking a question on our new forum at www.taxsaya.com (the first FREE Multi-Lingual software in Malaysia).
