Confidence, Trust, Hope

SENT TO ME BY A FRIEND.

One day, the villagers decided to pray for rain. On the day of prayer, everyone gathered and only one boy came with an umbrella. That's CONFIDENCE.

When you throw a 1 year old baby in the air, he laughs because he knows you will catch him. That's TRUST.

Every night we go to bed, we're not sure that we'll get up tomorrow, but we still have many plans for the coming day. That's HOPE.

Have confidence, trust in God and never lose hope.

  1. That's a nice one, Mr. Tan.

Hmmm, I wonder: a 1 year old baby weighs about 12 kg, are you sure you want to throw the baby in the air and catch it?

Before doing that, better try with a sack of 10 kg rice to see if it is "irrational exuberance".

Throwing a 1 year old baby in the air, in my opinion, is recklessness.

  2. I am not too sure whether the baby laughs because of confidence that you will catch him or because of ignorance that if he hits the floor he will be seriously hurt.

  3. Trust in God, a well-said phrase! Americans must turn to God for help; be it spiritual or physical. They should not turn to Gold but God for their future!!!

What Japanese solder did after he throw a baby to the air during WWII on Singapore Island? Never forget this lesson. We have sub-marine & UAV now.

Singapore investor had a sweet dream of x% dividend and capital appreciation from the then Ringget denomination stock exchange on this wealthy island. Many of them are small investor. They said Singapore was a safe heaven! One day in 1997, Dr Mahatir of Malaysia implement currency control and declare all outbond Malaysia Ringget as ILLEGAL. Billion Ringget withhled by Singaporen just gone! What is the progress of our water contract with Malaysia? Are we awaiting grace from them? No, sir. We have NEWater now.
