Dear Mr. Tan,
I am interested in Investments that will give me monthly returns and low risks. I am also interested in the Singapore shares i.e SIA, Sembcorp, SingTel etc. My questions is how do I go about investing?

When you invest in a single share, you have to bear both the market risk (i.e. overall cyclical ups and downs) and risks associated with the company (eg. accounting fraud, sudden loss of big client, industry downturn etc).
ReplyDeleteDo not assume big companies necessarily have low risks. To mitigate singular stock risk, invest in a diversified fund like STI ETF. However you will have to bear the market risk.
Just bear in mind what Mr Tan used to say "Risk is to your advantage".
Happy investing!
