Misrepresenting and misleading is
ReplyDeletetantamount to cheating and it is a penal offence because there is an intention to cheat the consumers into parting his or her money..
Consumers who feel that they have been mis-sold by bank consultants or insurance agents can file a police report for cheating.
This sound a good move, especially for those who cannot read or speak english and those retiress and old folks who invested their life savings in these products believing them to be safe. These are people very unlikely to be aggressive speculators and they only want a reasonable return for their investment. It will be easier for them to convice the police that they have been mis-sold the structured products.
