Safe deposit box

Hi there,
I am looking to open a safe box(X-small) and would appreciate if you could kindly assist.
By the way I have no idea of the size, price, terms and conditions. I have very tight budget constraint.

You can try CISCO. See here:

  1. If you don't mind the inconvenience of going to some banks where the safe deposit box is placed, you can open an a/c with the banks and be aware of any terms and conditions attached.

For my case, after having such an a/c with DBS, I closed my a/c when DBS moved to somewhere else.

I bought quite a large and heavy safe box (available in many places such as ground flr IMM) for below reasons and placed at home. I think it is riskless to buy a small one at home because the burglars can carry it away quite easily though opening it would be another challenge for them. Mine is probably min 70kg and needs at least 2 strong men to carry it.

  2. Normally people have a safe deposit box to keep expensive jewellery, eg gold, diamonds, etc.

Or to keep large amounts of physical cash.

For an ordinary Joe, jewellery is a poor investment. Gold jewellery value drop by 50% once you bought it.

Also with ATMs all around there is no need to keep much cash, except in the wallet.

So most ordinary Joes, if they are practical and investment savvy, do not need a safe deposit box, whether at home or in the bank. No thief will want to steal documents!

  3. Anchor the safe to wall to make it harder for anyone to carry it away. I think you can try any contractor to provide that service.

  4. We keep important documents such as will, hdb flat deed, bc, some jewels from wedding etc in the safe box.
