Here is the new Tan Kin Lian website. Click on "Ask Mr Tan" for a list of FAQs on insurance and finance. You can also click on the various categories under the Information tab.
This new website is designed using the Prototype Website, which is available for use by organisations for a modest fee.
Mr Tan,
ReplyDeleteI went through your website and must agree that it is quite easy to find the information that I need under the Information tab. I hope that you will write many of your blog postings in your website for your readers to refer. In the blog, the information can disappear quite quickly. Keep up the good work.
Mr. Tan KL,
ReplyDeleteI had a lot of trouble in searching for information in many of the corporate website and also the government ministries. There are so much information and they are organised all over the place. Often, I have to search the whole page or call their helpline, to find the right links to click. I agree that your Information tab can organise the pages more efficiently.
But, I am not sure that PDF format is the right way. It can look quite stale.

ReplyDeleteAlthough the Information tab allows different types of documents to be stored, I prefer to standardise on PDF. This will make it easier for the readers.
I find that the PDF loads quite fast and can also contain embedded graphics, so it has most (not all) of the advantages of HTML. It also displays in a consistent manner.
Another advantage is that the PDF can be downloaded into your computer and sent by e-mail to another person.
