Does it make sense to buy Private Shield for the higher cover limit and stay at B2 or below ward? We never know how long we will be hospitalised and the higher limit can help in tis sense right?
Mr Tan, I respectfully disagree with your stand on private insurance. It is so inexpensive for young people. Yes, the cost does escalate exponentially when one grows older especially during retirement. However, one can always factor in medical insurance cost into one's retirement plan and plan for it appropriately. Having a shield plan also makes medical financial planning easier because the out-of-pocket limits are capped, and it allows the option of upgrading to better wards and better specialist.

Hi Steven
ReplyDeleteIt is a waste of money. A big waste of money.

ReplyDeleteGarrett,
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you write another article to argue for Private Shield. I will post it up in my website as an alternative view.
