The Malaysians have their right to be concerned about their nationals losing their pants at the two IRs here. We Singaporeans are very worried too, as we anticipate, and it's already happening, famililies breaking down because of gambling debts, increase of loansharks harrassing debtors, robberies in the pipeline, cheating and siphoning off Companies'funds. With the two tempting devils at our doorstep, there would be an atmosphere of distrust among the peoples, you never know who would rob or cheat you of money to gamble or settle gambling debts. Even the FW would be too preoccupied with gambling to renovate or build your homes with poor quality work. Is this the society we want to live in. Definitely no. $100 daily or $2,000 annual fee is PEANUTS in today's inflationary times. Nevertheless the Malaysians also forget one of the IRs belong to their own nationals. Maybe our Govt is astute in this aspect, as the Genting Casino is the more aggressive in luring Malaysians here.
