#1 Never use credit card for overseas payment where possible. Always use cash or travellers cheques
#2 Always check reciepts, even in Singapore.
#3 Dedicate 1 credit card for Domestic and another for overseas use only.
I find it difficult to understand why people use credit cards to pay for sundry items. Just to get reward points? It is annoying to be standing behind a customer who uses credit card to pay for 1 bottle of wine or 5 oranges.
I will leave the queue.. because inevitably there will be further inetractions with the cashier, the machine takes a long time to process, there is some issue with the card, the printer ran out of paper.
If the customer does not have enough hard cash to make a small purchase of below $50.. . to me, it is a symptom to be weary of that person... disorganised or debt ridden or both.

ReplyDeleteIt is about time...
Wonder when ST is going to mention this development.
Would not be surprised, if all other principal "actors" are no longer employed by DBS by now !
