Personal attacks on Worker Party Chen will backfire

Mr. Tan, please highlight in your blog

We need more candidates with Chen Show Mao's "calibre" to help face the threats of globalisation from the external environment. At least, PMETs should endorse him for their own "future".....

DPM Teo Chee Hean said Singaporeans have to consider whether opposition parties can deliver on the "laundry list of things"they have laid out in their manifestoes.

Two past PAP manifestoes had failed to address and solve the common Singaporeans' future for the last 10 years in the face of globalisation, do you expect to see any "difference" to come from new PAP candidates, in the like of Ms Tin Pei Ling to even MG Chan Chun Sing, who are groomed within the "closed" warm PAP "cocoon" and political culture; to initiate a change while under the tutelage of SM Goh and MM Lee?

An intelligent Electorate should be looking at "a new shopping list for a better detergent" and Chen Show Mao could be just that "detergent" Singaporeans are looking for. "

  1. Without our reserved and money can they deliver? Look at how Youth Olympic is being delivered by using 3 times more the money and yet petty food for volunteers and all the hipcups along the way. I am not bias but please be mindful wherer your resources came from. Do not take all the credits...if same resources are allocated to opposition ward, then there is a fair game to see who can managed a town council and the consituency better..Stop challenging the opposition when the resources are not fairly allocated. I pay my respect to Mr. Low and Mr. Chiam for their hardwork with limited resoruces on hand. All the best in this election...

  2. Chen Show Mao is much more trustworthy than one who may just ride on the "corridor of power", safe passage into parliament and perhaps appointed million-dollar Minister. At least we know Chen Show Mao has to start from scratch, willing to put himself before the electorates and be tested. His motive is not to become a million-dollar Minister. He is a true son of Singapore because he knew that without an effective 'check and balance' two-party parliament, Singapore's future is worrisome. Chen Show Mao simply wants to present himself as a role model for the more educated younger Singaporeans to come forward to provide that 'check and balance', so critical to Singapore's future political well-being.
