Do you hear the people sing?

This song, taken from Les Miserables, echoes the anger of a people who suffers for the unfairness and hardship of life. Does it apply to Singapore?

  1. For those of you who chose the HDB upgrading carrot over your own conscience:

    “If ye love wealth greater than liberty,
    the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom,
    go home from us in peace.
    We seek not your counsel, nor your arms.
    Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you;
    and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
