Hi Kin Lian,
I just read about your statement on standing for Presidency. I do sincerely hope that you will stand for Presidency. I like the principles (of fairness and cost control) you adopted when you were the CEO of NTUC Income. As a result, many policy holders (myself included) have benefited. As a President, a lot more S’poreans would be able to benefit from your work. You would be able to complete what the late Ong Teng Cheong started (and prevented from accomplishing) and go beyond.
I believe PAP has learnt their lessons from GE 2011, when all their smear tactics backfired, badly. Therefore, I hope your wife will support your contest for Presidency. Looking forward to that!!
TY
When you were the ceo you cared for both insurance agents and the consumers. You were trying to help their business by offering a win win solution during the bad years instead the agents misinterpreted your actions as against them. The agents or rather the salesmen didn't know that they were not qualified and competent in the business and were still demanding to be paid a lot.
ReplyDeleteYou dared to take the kind of actions because of your belief of fairness and fair dealing outcome for both the customers and the sellers.
Unfortunately, capitalising on the greed of the salesmen by dangling alot of goodies but at the expense of their customers the new managemnt thinks it is sucessful for acheiving #1. Yes in sales but not helping their clients. LIA reports confirm . I am sure the management knows it.The public cannot be fooled by the advertisements of well kept secrets, or better rates of return of the past as the achievement of the present to misrepresent the future..
Honesty is the best policy and TKL has this trait. I remember during his time all the BIs carried a page showing the yearly return but not now. Why? is it more transparent now? NO. Now, marketing ploys to trick and manipulate and confuse the public using semantics that are meaningless and bullshit..The public are not fools. The truth is the public is fleeced to the fullest and not living life to the fullest.
Mr. Tan, you should be in MAS to watch over all these insurance companies.
