Climate change?

It is freezing cold in Europe. My friend said that the recent disruption in weather, tsunami, floods and earthquake are caused by climate change. Perhaps so, but they are probably also caused by development of the living environment. What are your views?

  1. Some of them are saying 21 Dec 2012 is probably the End of the World. Any way, let the God arranges...

  2. It was said that drastic climate change millions of years ago wiped out the dinosaurs from earth. Another theory was that a huge meteorite hit earth which caused not only climate but also continental and sea level change.

Then slowly climate changed for the better and that's why humans evolved and started to inhabit earth.

So maybe there will be another climate change coming which may wiped out all humans this time? The cycle of change for better and worse may be very long and slow, perhaps in millions of years.

  3. Every Govt in the world would latch on climate change as a whipping boy, they themselves are the actual culprits contributing to the bizarre change.
The relentless chase after the economic $ transforms into destroying productive agricultural farms and green lung forests to build concrete factories, apartments and office buildings, and golf courses.
Near Shanghai there is a Singaporean owed golf course complex called Tai Yang Dao, who was built on farmland, now if you go there, all the remaining farms around have disappeared, replaced by new concrete factories.
Even Singapore is getting into the act, before Ion was built, never hear of Lucky plaza and Liat Towers flash flooding, right?
And then we have a joker PAP MP, former Water and Environment Minister, Yacult, who seemed ignorant about climate patterns and man-made Environment changes relating to his job as an Environment Minister, came out with an nonchalant remark - It (flash flooding) happens once in 50 years. How ignorant or inadequate could Yakult be.

  4. I still want to laugh at the remark that flash flooding happens once in 50 years!
