Many young people opt to get a degree because the pay of a graduate is much higher than a non-graduate. We now have a situation that there are too many graduates and not enough good paying jobs. After completing a 4 years apprentice, they earn a salary that is slighly lower than a graduate. The difference is about 10 percent.
