Build HDB flats in advance

I suggest that HDB should build flats in advance, instead of building them to order. The BTO system should be scrapped. We should return to the system before that 2001.

  1. COE oscillates.

    Properties oscillate.

    Stocks oscillate.

Last time satay 25cts per stick, up to 50cts, 80cts. Now $1.20 per stick, free sauce and cucumber. That means the cost of living only one way and that is up.

Couples now are looking for resale flats which in turn has pushed up prices, due to demand. Some just have no more time to wait. Who are the ones who put all these people in such bad positions? Let's see who will be set up as their whipping boy next?

Near election, used up 90 billion. Paramount housing is like bean counting. Lawrence Wong has failed young couples. No foresight. No proactive. No potential.

  2. Not necessary to be a rocket scientist to configure a non-partisan way towards private property buyers. They do not qualify for subsidies housing or grants but the most tampered
at the expense of first-timers. How many first-timers buy private property excluding executive condos? There is a Chinese saying there are always a mountain higher.
Nobody is against stabilizing the market. Lawrence Wong and MAS appeared not to stabilized the market, but only enriching themselves.

  3. Train of Life

At birth, we boarded the train of life and met our parents, and we believed that they would always travel by our side. However, at some station, our parents would step down from the train, leaving us on life's journey alone.

As time goes by, some significant people will board the train: siblings, other children, friends, and even the love of our life.

Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum. Others will go so unnoticed that we won't realize that they vacated their seats! This train ride has been a mixture of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells.

A successful journey consists of having a good relationship with all passengers, requiring that we give the best of ourselves. The mystery that prevails is that we do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. Thus, we must try to travel along the track of life in the best possible way -- loving, forgiving, giving, and sharing.

When the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty -- we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who continue to travel on the train of life.

Let’s remember to thank our Creator for giving us life to participate in this journey.

  4. No matter how some parents want to protect their children, there are some realities that are true to all life. No one can escape life's problems, failures, losses and disappointments. They will make mistakes like everyone else. That does not mean coming from top schools with the best exam results will not face difficulties in life. Life isn't easy and it isn't fair.

  5. Remove the fuking ABSD- People may need to add names for complicated family reasons.

Increase the SSD to 5 years-Speculators are still active although not as much as before.

Double the property taxes on rented properties, priorities purchasing for living in.

  7. We should return to the system before 2001.

In the not-so-olden days when a couple got married, the daughter-in-law was to move in with the husband's family, more so if he was the only son, so getting a flat was not critical on the agenda. Today, things have changed. A great percentage of couples value their freedom and doing things their own way, getting a home of their own is critical for starting a family. If any minister did not see this pattern and still stick to the old model of doing things, they should never be there in the first place. Fine if a couple is in their twenties to wait for 3 to 4 years for a flat. Due to women getting higher education, it would be illogical to expect a woman in their thirties to wait for 3 to 4 years. Resale HDB prices will not go down and births will not go up, if we keep getting kayu ministers.

  8. Quotes about overly cautious policies:

The policy of being too cautious is the greatest risk of all.
    Jawaharlal Nehru

Beware of the door with too many keys.

Beware the person with nothing to lose.

Eggs have no business dancing with stones.

Fine feathers don't make fine birds.

If you buy what you don't need, you steal from yourself.

Measure a thousand times; cut once.

‎Be careful not to keep your eyes glued to detail. Stand far enough away to get a perspective of the whole.

The policy of being too cautious is the greatest risk of all.
    Jawaharlal Nehru

    Confucius
The strength of a nation derives from the integrity of the home.

    M. K. Soni
Home sweet home. This is the place to find happiness. If one doesn’t find it here, one doesn’t find it anywhere.

There is no place like home.

Home isn’t where you’re from, it’s where you find light when all grows dark

  9. Don't have to agree-

(My Indonesian friend told me that many rich Indonesians are traveling to America to take the vaccine. If Singapore provides this facility, they will prefer to be vaccinated in Singapore.)
What do u think will happen to those here, who are eager to get vaccinated, but are still in the Q waiting? The government does not have the brightest star shining in the sky, but neither are they dumb?

(Mr Lim Chong Leong suggests that the Housing Board allow successful Build-To-Order (BTO) flat applicants who are affected by construction delays to opt for resale flats without forfeiting their deposit (Let those affected by BTO delay buy resale flats without penalty, May 18).Implementing Mr Lim's suggestion would also mean a surge in demand for resale flats, increasing their price and potentially putting them out of reach of buyers who are eligible to buy only resale flats.)
This is the result of ministers who have no clear vision and what could be achieved. They lack an open mind about ranges possibilities that over-build outways under-build. As humans, having a roof over our heads only can we survive and thrive. It takes a lot more effort and a conscious mind to reframe obstacles and challenges as growth opportunities.

(Given that employees and students now have to work and study My daughter, preparing for her final exams, is finding it very difficult to concentrate and participate in her online classes due to the drilling, hammering and hacking noises from the apartment above.at home, I find it perplexing that home renovations are still allowed.)
If that is all they have to bear with now, we should feel sorry for them? Why do employers prefer foreigners? Some whingers just do not have the resilience, hardship or mental strength. All the schools ever produced were how to pass exams with flying colors

  10. "VERY WELL SAID by not a Minister or any PAP."

"Housing policies need to be fair, certain - meaning the Government cannot flip-flop - and easy to apply, so it's a matter of calibrating all the various elements to achieve the best outcome," he added.

"But at the end of the day, as long as the HDB resale market remains a free market, it can't be distorted too much and market forces must be allowed to be at work," he said.

This is not a game of cards! This is your life and mine!(LKY)

Need to get the right people suited to their abilities and potential. Your PAP success depends on great talents aligned with the right roles! No hard deliveries, no accountability on measures on housing so far except because their faces are suitable to some, for peoples' suffering of the first buyer consequences or filling their coffers!
