  1. This type of payment copy from PAP?

Watson and Unity. If you spend a minimum say $50 you are entitled to a $5 voucher which can be used to redeem straight away. The cashier did 3X transactions with 3X payments and although my purchase came to more than $150, my voucher was only 2. Not only the confusion but standing at the counter for more than 10 minutes.. My only conclusion was the items could be $70, $50, and $30. The con here was to get you to spend another $20 to add to the $30 to make another $50 for another $5 voucher?

  2. Chinese proverb;

A man who cannot tolerate small misfortunes can never accomplish great things. (Education system)

An inch of time is an inch of gold but you can't buy that inch of time with an inch of gold. (Waiting and balloting for BTO time over and over again.)

Even a hare will bite when it is cornered.(Policies that have made people live miserably.)

Two good talkers are not worth one good listener. ( Ministers who talked like Mr-know-all.)

Only one who can swallow an insult is a man. ( People who post on social media over little things.)

If you want to find out about the road ahead, then ask about it from those coming back.(Policies impact lives. Reach out to those who had been there for feedback)

There are two kinds of perfect people: those who are dead, and those who have not been born yet. ( Those who like to criticise others to take a hard look at themselves.)

  3. Two Options
Singapore Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew, said there were two options for me:

Either I get corrupted and I put my family in the Forbes list of the richest people in the world and leave my people with nothing.

    OR

I serve my country, my people and let my country be in the list of the best ten economies in the world.

    I chose the second option.

Indian politicians (most) said there were two options for us too, but the second option was already taken by the Singapore Prime Minister.

  4. We are similar to plants, thrives right in the presence of correct stimuli, such as light, nutrients and water. Are we thriving better? I would say yes. We have now more than sufficient inheritance. Inheritance of all kinds of rules and laws and they are forever changing. Lives are much simpler. Resolve everything by giving subsidies and money. And the message is if inadequate money, just raise taxes and GST. Like that I also can.

  5. My investment is profitable.

My wife and I bought our private property 35 years ago @ $700,000.

We sold our property @ 3.5M when I retired and moved to a million-dollar HDB paying cash.

Some money was kept for ourselves. Some money was given to my 2 children when they got married to buy their 1st homes. One bought a resale HDB while the other settled for a resale 2 bedroom
    private.

    I am very lucky.

  7. The woman who is the first case linked to the growing KTV cluster of Covid-19 infections is a short-term visit pass holder from Vietnam who entered Singapore in February via the familial ties lane, sponsored by her Singaporean boyfriend.

Construction workers have their employers sponsoring them?

Maids have their employers sponsoring them?

Probably another one with specialty treatment?
