We have little reason to doubt him as an effective leader. He obviously knows the goings-on the ground. Clap Clap.
ReplyDeleteEnforcement is a 'cat and mouse game: Lawrence Wong
"But you can appreciate that each time you do an enforcement check, there is a little bit of cat and mouse going on because the enforcement officers come in, the people who are breaking the rules will be on the lookout, they see someone coming in and then they may start to adjust, and respond accordingly."
The KTV saga on the domino effect on lives, businesses and costs.
PEOPLE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN OTHERS' OPINIONS.
ReplyDeletePEOPLE KNOW THEIR PERSONAL MOTIVES.
A LARGE NUMBER ARE NOT INTERESTED IN POLITICS, THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN THE WELL-BEING OF THEIR OWN FAMILIES.
PEOPLE ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN WHO THEY THINK THEY SHOULD VOTE FOR.
THE ONLY THING THE WHOLE POPULATION IS INTERESTED IN IS THE RESULTS OF THE ELECTION. IT IS THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE REFLECTION WHICH NO EXPERT OR PROFESSIONAL CAN DENY, DEFEND OR ARGUE!!!!!! NOT EVEN GOD WILL HAVE AN ANSWER.
Mild-mannered level-headed, down to earth- these could be the qualities needed for a safer,
ReplyDeletehappy, gracious and rich country. I too 👍 la.
Our wealth is safe owing to the fact that most people only have one name or own one property
ReplyDeletebecause of 17% ABSD today. If the Bumiputries decide to do a Russia, most people only own one property. Investing overseas has made the people here not put eggs in one basket.
Took more than 60 years to find out that the 2 children and one daughter-in-law would do anything for money by altering his last will compared to his standardised past 6 wills. Only those with similar characters tend to side with what was being done.
ReplyDeleteTook 45 years to learn that Pritam Singh would do anything to protect his pay and position.
Lee Kuan Yew used to say you can never know anybody till they are in the coffin. All these judgements of character are only on the surface not skin deep.
Last night I was so excited. I saw 2 Malaysian registered cars on the road. Whenever I drive to Malaysia, Singapore registered cars are everywhere, especially at seafood eating places.
Yup, took how many years to find out that CSJ was not as bad as what was thought.
ReplyDeleteLHL needs to deep deeper into who are the ones to see him gone not who is championing for Lawrence Wong.
History has proven that whatever they are trying to sell, people are not buying. Remember General Election they were selling: * There are vacancies for best losers in parliament and NMPs. No need to vote for the opposition.* Got people listen or not? They can strategise all
ReplyDeletethey like whether Lee or Wong to fight next GE, people still will not buy. This one not anyhow say one. This one got proof one.

Curious what different ball games they will come out with this time to damage control further dip in results as we all know that giving money and redrawing boundaries had no desired effect? Yes, waning.
One thing is for sure if Lee Kuan Yew is in charge he would not put up with what is happening to the people now. You know people used to say, this is Singapore, things like that wont happen here. I am not lying and I repeat that I am not lying, nowadays people do not say that anymore. In fact whatever people are buying they do not have a piece of mind. Some properties more than 40 years old, advert selling tenure as Unknown pricing more than a million dollars. Got such thing meh? The image that the foreigners used to have about Singapore is now making us a laughing stock.
ReplyDeleteWhen you make a complaint or give feedback to the agencies involved, they washed their hands and direct you somewhere else. You go to the somewhere else, they said it is not their problem, to go to the police. The police said not their problem, civil case. And so the people end up sucking it up. As much as I like LHL, and would be sad to see him go, I think it is best that we need an overhaul of those lip service useless washing hands government agencies.
