  1. Only ministers and those top filthy rich 5 percent are deserving to live in spacious homes. For the rest of the inhabitants there are land constraints!

All we need are talents, with if there is a will there is a way, not just excuses and defiance! Agree wholeheartedly with this writer who speak up not for himself, but for others. It did not surprise me not even a bit, that it is commonplace to hear that the government is only in touch with themselves.

Forum: Reasons to prefer executive flats and maisonettes over executive condos

The Housing Board said it stopped building executive flats and executive maisonettes after the Executive Condominium Housing Scheme was introduced (HDB has to strike a balance between size and supply of BTO flats, Jan 2).

Executive flats and maisonettes are generally bigger than executive condominiums, and are located in HDB estates with no boundary walls or facilities such as swimming pools and gyms.

I believe many Singapore residents prefer them over executive condos as they are used to the living environment in HDB estates, and executive flats and maisonettes are comparatively cheaper. It is no wonder they are reaching million-dollar prices. The HDB should respond to this demand and build them again.

  2. One thing is for certain, people do realise that this country still has got a Prime Minister.

One thing that is uncertain is that no one knows who is supposed to run the show.

Even in not so 1st class countries like Malaysia, people's mind is Anwar is heading the country.

  3. Some unspecified people at times would rather pay a tiny wee bit more for convenience to save time.

Some try to save a few cents to put up with the inconvenience.

CDC vouchers are so much drama and it's only $300. Can you imagine if it is $3000, what kind of opera would that be?

  6. School educators, police and healthcare workers and doctors must be highly remunerated because these are the people we cannot do without!
