Many people worry about a recession. They do not need to worry. Here is the reason.

  1. Abuse only on government servants or the other way round?

Case 1) Whiles going through the immigration last week at the cruise centre, I can see that most were first-timers from overseas who were unfamiliar with the system of checking in. Despite help being available, some could not understand Singlish or the other way around, so the assists started shouting in loud voices. This made the travelers uneasy and scared being Singapore's strict laws. Other relatives who who went through first waiting on the other side were pushing wheelchairs waiting for those who had difficulty going through. One in uniform told bluntly for them to move. The traveler replied he was waiting for for his aging mum. No manners. He shouted( maybe thats the government's tone) "YOO ARE BLOCKING THE WAY."
It wasn't like "Sorry you are blocking the way, Would you mind moving your wheelchair?"
There were three in the booth and as I got closer, none looked happy. Not racist but one Sarah Anne had her hands on her hips when checking our passports like trying to talk down to us. As it happened there were 2 ships with boarding passengers on that day, we can understand the frustration they had to deal with. Whose fault was it? Ours?

Case number 2)During last New Years eve when fights happened at at MBS nightclub. The police held on to some of the IC being told that they were witnesses to their friends who was injured. One guy who was drunk kept asking for his IC back claiming he was tired and wanted to go home. The police told him to shut-up or he would be put in the lock-up(swore that this was not made-up) Wasn't sure if he was NS, part or full timer. If they are unsure how to handle drunks other than threats, than we must have the best police force in the world.

    Abuse works both ways!

  2. Boy scouts and people who have 'rainy days' in their dictionary are not that concern about recession. Life comes in cycles.

  3. Recession is taxing times although smokers and alcohol drinkers would have to spend more on their coping mechanism?

  4. The politicians make every decision for us. Unfortunately, they are not always going to do what is best, but their reelection chances. We are all of this interconected world with forces shaping our lives.

  5. A non-hoalian couple who are both vets could afford a private property but chose a 5-roomer BTO that they paid it off in 8 years. Property taxes and non-condo maintenance fees are low priced. The husband works 3 days at the clinic which they own and the wife works 2 days giving one parent at home for their 2 children given the fact they do not have to employ a maid. Maids nowadays live in the living room partitioned up with curtains. Their living room looks like a palatial living area.👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

Beware of Bitcoin investment schemes where scammers, posing as experienced "investment managers," lure investors with tales of massive cryptocurrency profits. Promising hefty returns, these fraudsters ask for an upfront fee, only to vanish with your money, leaving you with empty promises. They may even ask for personal information under the guise of fund transfers, risking your cryptocurrency security. Don't let the allure of quick wealth cloud your judgment. Always verify the credibility of those you're investing with and remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Stay informed, invest wisely, and protect your digital assets.
