  3. Hi Allen
I checked that 25 baht = 1 SGD. The price of 400,000 baht = 16,000 SGD. But the salaries in Thailand is lower than Singapore, maybe by 5 times. So - does it look okay to pay $80,000 for s 2 room flat in Singapore?

  5. A private condo in JB is now selling S100k around. They are built by private developer.(I don't suggest people to invest there, the figure is for us to estimate the Land/construction/marketing cost)

  6. Hi Mr TKL,
Whatever cost, a male citizen (Middle & Lower income) should re-pay the loan within 10 years before he lost calcium at 40 years old. Heath condition is critical beside job market.

    (I am now in Thailand)

  7. Selling prices of a public house in Wen Zhuan New Town(western China) is Yen80,000 (S$15k-16k). It look like our HDB new town ! (source: CCTV 5/5/2011)

The selling price is about the same as the New Town in Bangkok.

  8. I wonder people buying resale flats have ever wondered what are they paying for? Many flats are already more than 30 years old so what would happen in another 30 years time when you paid up the loan + interest? With a flat left only less than 40 years on the lease, would you be able to sell to recover the cost given the skyhigh market price? Or would HDB offer Selective En Bloc Scheme (SERS) to everyone?

A 3-room HDB flat in Holland Drive can fetch $400K or more, and I understand that quite a number of the sellers are PRs who no longer lived in Singapore and have been renting out the flat in the past few years. I hope Singaporean don't go in blindly and chase the price up!
