Wisdom of the Crowd: 64% of the respondents had a negative view towards the news report that 3,500 wealthy millionaires are expected to become citizens of Singapore in 2023. They said that it would increase the cost of living.

Only a special government is able to strike up a balance between social, political and economic without pulling two downs and pushing one up.
ReplyDeleteGrabbling with economic and social challenges that are every bit a compact city would have to be serious diligence. It is not a game of cards.
Rules and Laws cannot just flip-flop as and when they like. As it is we already have more than enough upheaval in our lives.
The way to go is to find the right balance. There will always be people who are for and
against certain areas of policies depending on which side of the fence they are in.
The enormous uncertainty that people live with- 1) In certain countries people do not know who their next PM would be. 2) In Singapore people do not know when their next new rule would be.
ReplyDeleteThe effect of domino is when loan interest rates go up by more than half, rental rates have to go up to make up for the increase in monthly mortgage payments. Banks are laughing all the way to the banks.
