Mr Seah for sure will not be able to work for ST =SPH ! He is "dammed" right. LIke another blogger pointed out, suddenly 22 more trains could be added without any hints that fares will go up. Do not celebrate yet. I am wondering why it will take 6 years for the first new signalling system to kick in. We sure need FT ! Or is the vendor asking price now 3 times its original indicative price ?
In fact Mr Seah did work for the ST. He was the ST's foreign news editor in the 70s. He used to be pro PAP back then. He would defend the PAP whenever any foreign newsmen would criticise the PAP. In fact a foreign journalist said he regreted giving Mr Seah a donation for him to get a heart transplant in Aust.
Thanks sureesh40 for your information. Am vaguely aware of Mr Seah past association with Singapore. Whatever causes him to have a "change of heart", must have been "earth-shaking". ( Pun intended !) My apologies, if Mr Seah is offended.
