Octopus card in well used in Hong Kong

Several people told me that the Octopus card is well used in Hong Kong. My friend, who lived in Hong Kong for one year, told me that he used the Octopus card for payment for transport, restaurant and groceries. He hardly pay by cash.

By contrast, the Ez Link card and Nets Flash card is hardly used in Singapore, other than for transport. Most of the small payments are still made by cash.

  1. Hong Kong has got a reputation for being rude and loud.
But when I was there, what stood out was that when it comes to lane merger, the vehicle with its nose in front first goes first. It was one and one.
Over here, lane mergers meant who blinks first during squeezing.

  2. Smart businesses thinking. Most places @ Cold Storage supermarkets have adopted the non-coin

policy trolleys. Reasons could be they would rather shoppers shop more with the trolley than

a basket and the convenience of digging $1 coins. They have employed people going round the

carparks to collect back the trolleys.

  3. We saw those blood donations that have contributed to the public good may decrease if donors
are paid, because their generosity may be interpreted as greed.

Paying your child to get good grades in school can, over the long run have a perverse effect,
because children risk losing their intrinsic motivation to study and may become motivated solely by money.

On the whole, while it is a good country with a supposedly non-corrupt government, it is also time to leave a place that is unpleasant to live.

  5. Dun know how BCA can approve buildings with only one exit from the carparks? Most have got two side by side.

Dun know how BTO can compromise lives with no fire exit? It was like as long as people have a house. it does not matter what kind of house.

  6. Last week, we bought Hong Kong roast meat for dinner.

Either char siew, roast pork, roast chicken or roast duck.

    Any 3 combination is $36.

Came home found out, three-quarter underneath meat were cucumbers.
