I refer to the article “S’pore is 17th most prosperous country” (Today, Oct 28).
Since Malaysia is the only other country in Asean that is in the top 50, at 43rd,
I think it may be interesting to compare Singapore and Malaysia,
from the perspective of what it may all mean to ordinary citizens?

A very interesting article by Mr Leong. Using 'a taxi driver' as a reference was appropriate. There was this implied COE element beside our special Diesel surcharge and the HDB affordability issues. And yes, if the opposition is keen, add in the 'under-insured' aspect . Our taxi drivers derserved more. Implication : the man-in-street deserve more.(let me also qualify that taxi drivers are among the most poor drivers on any S'pore roads or HDB carparks !)
