I am pleased that the Presidential Election Committee has granted me the Certificate of Eligibility. From now on, all arrangements will proceed as planned, leading up to Nomination Day. At this juncture, I wish to assure the public and all concerned that my campaign will be run in a clean and dignified manner, as befitting the status of the office.
I will be collecting the certificate from the Election Department at 11 a.m. on Friday.

Congratulations and best wishes.
Congras too.
It's simply great to see my ex-boss, mentor and someone respectable and understanding to be a 2011 Presidential candidate. Cheers and best wishes!
Uncle Tan,this is Darren here, Auntie Lily's son. May this year be a change in Singaporeans choices in the Elections. Honestly, I admire your courage to speak up and I am glad that more are speaking up now. All the Best in your campaign for President !
Well done on getting the COE. Having met you last year the the financial talk at NSRCC, I found you to be patient and without airs despite your past achievements. I also admire your dedication in helping the investors affected by the minibonds. I will be happy to vote for you.
Dear Mr Tan, stepping down is not doing just to the many Singaporean who have supported you. It is not a matter of how many corner fights or splitting the votes, it is about who is able to convince Singaporean that they can truly serve the country. I do not see how much more independent can the other 3 candidates be so please stay on!
