Death from pneumonia

4,700 people died from pneumonia in Singapore last year. It represents 20.6% of all deaths, second after cancer.

Pneumonia is inflammation of the lungs, caused by a virus, bacteria or fungi. If the coronavirus kill a patient, the death is likely to be caused by pneumonia.

If the coronavirus is not around, 4,700 people will still die from pneumonia anyway. So, if the coronavirus is responsible for some of these deaths, it should not come as a big surprise.

Many people die from pneumonia each year, whether caused by the coronavirus or other germs.

I believe that the same statement can be made for deaths in Hubei, China. Without the coronavirus, many people would still die from pneumonia caused by other germs.

Our time on earth is short but it was wasted on

Waiting for a flat

Waiting to reach 35 for singles before eligibility for a 2 room far miserable flat

Wasting time to meet TOP

Wasting time to be a pioneer or senior citizen

Wasting time to wait for handouts

Wasting time to wait for CPF

Wasting time to apply for housing loans and repricing

Wasting time in court cases

Wasting time on tuition

Wasting time on chasing material things

Wasting away working 12 hours daily

Needless to say, this is one country that cuts time with an incredible airport that is beyond believed.

So ... Let's try to take full advantage of the time we have left ...
Let's not stop looking for activities that we like ...
Let's put colour in our greyness ...
Let's smile at the little things in life that put balm in our hearts.

And yet, we must continue to enjoy serenely the time that remains.
Let's try to eliminate the "after" ...
I do it after ...
I will say after ...
I will think about it after ...
We leave everything for 'later' as if "after" was ours.

Because what we do not understand is that:
after, the coffee cools ...
after, priorities change ...
after, the charm is broken ...
after, health passes ...
after, the children grow up ...
after, the parents get older ...
after, the promises are forgotten ...
after, the day becomes the night ...
after, life ends ...
And all that afters, we find it's often too late...

So ... leave nothing for 'later' ...
Because in always waiting for later, we can lose the best moments,
the best experiences,
the best friends,
the best family ...
The day is today ... The moment is now ...

We are no longer at the age where we can afford to postpone until tomorrow what needs to be done right away.

Singles should not be treated as 2nd class citizens.

They sold prime lands via HDB SERS to private developers for billions. Through that, the collection of stamp duties, absd, GST from every different construction materials, development charges and the list goes on. Holland Village, Commonwealth and Margarete Drive were such sites. All these costs were passed on the people (buyers ). The buyers not only have to pay the costs incurred but the ABSD, stamp duties and more blah blah and blah.
Living and sizes conditions of the new projects have become sardine cans for affordability all due to their greed. While they have spent the money forcefully taken from the people back to the country, that is beside the point. Housing is the top necessity for humans, a place that they get away from the outside world. A place where they need to have children. This is a living necessity other than food and oxygen. To have the people living in such cramp situations is evil. How can a 3 bedroom place fit in 800 sq ft with no yard or laundry area? Kitchens now do not even have worktops. Where is their heart? Who passed off such homes?

We now have people in government who just rolled-out no-brainer proposals as long as it can pass the law!

2) Most National Day Speeches, there will always be someone who was handpicked as a perfect model for studying hard, obtained fantastic grades, though he or she was not from well-off families and is now somebody as an excellent example. This led to the belief that good grades are everything and an upgrade in one's life. And because of their title, they should be respected
Now families spent money on the best tuition to obtain grades. It has become a country grabbing of good grades at the expense of everything else, it is OK that they have no soul, manners, empathy for others, filial piety, kindness or graciousness. It has become each for themselves.
This is the kind of society that we have been breeding today despite its wealth and infrastructures.
