Somebody made this observation, "If you give views that support the government's views, you are not politicizing, but if you give views that are different, you are politicizing".
I want to encourage Singaporeans to be broad minded, and to accept alternative views, without applying labels such as "politicizing", "anti-PAP" or "pro-PAP". There is no need to label each view. Treat each view on its own merits ... and ask, " is it good a better solution, is it better for the people?"

May I also add for everybody's consideration the phrase "constructive criticism".
A piece of criticism is either true or false. Valid or invalid. This is assessing the quality of criticism based upon its merits.
Criticism does not need to be "constructive" before it qualifies to be true.
If I am walking around naked without any clothes like the proverbial emperor, I'd rather be told straight away. I should not reject such feedback just because it's not "constructive".

I avoid criticizing other people's views. To criticize implies that one is on higher ground and can make judgement on other people.
I also try to avoid disagreeing with another view - as there is no need to focus on the negative (i.e. disagree). I refer to offer my own view (i.e a more positive approach) and give the reasons for my view.
I will let the readers judge which views they prefer to accept.
This is not just from the perspective of and on the PE candidates himself.
Usually, the critics and commenters "themselves" are politicized.
They chose to use words unfairly to favour / dishonour candidate(s) they are supporting or not supporting...BIAS.
This is vs the scenario of supporting or not supporting a candidate fairly based on real facts and observations of his past actions.
I find it amusing that there are calls from official quarters to ask candidates not to politicise the election.
All the candidates will have to campaign for votes in rallies, interviews, walk-abouts and in the new media.
If they are not allowed to talk about the issues which concern the electorate, which are all political in nature, what else can they talk about, other than their personal attributes like they are God-fearing, law-abiding, animal-loving.
I think you should talk about the issues which concern the people and make principled stands on all of them. We are not going to vote for the person who looks the most presidential.
