I prefer the egalitarian system used in Finland. It is nice to have an environment where students help each other to learn, rather than compete against each other.

I was one of those stupid student at Ngee Ann College (now NAPoly) in 1976. My maths lecturer chased me out of his class after I can not answer his maths question. I had not done my homework as I had to work part-time after class room. My father was a TB patient with 5 children. After the incident, I cry all the way to a nearby temple to take refuge.
In early-1970s at Holy Innocents High School, I had my Chinese langauge teacher and Additional Maths teacher who came from Penang (Malaysia). They were very humble and hardly see them angry.
