Challenges for the prime minister

 The CNA headline said.

Handing over Singapore in good order: The legacy of Lee Hsien Loong
Singapore’s third Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s tenure has left its mark on the political and societal landscape of Singapore, with a pivot towards a softer, more collaborative approach to governance, analysts say.
TKL has a different view. This is a bad time for Lawrence Wong to take over. Singapore has a high cost of living. Many people are not able to get a well paying job that is sufficient to meet the high cost of living and high cost of housing.
Many businesses are also facing difficulties and have to retrench their workers or move to low cost countries.
The geopolitical conflicts will harm the world economy and that will affect Singapore badly.
It will not be easy for the new prime minister. Still, I wish him all the best.

If our memory serves us correctly, Goh Chok Tong was the one who was advocated for the 4G leadership in Singapore's political scene.

In the upcoming election, if the PAP performs poorly and scores only 49.999%, it's possible that Goh and his siblings should be held partially responsible.

Despite the fancy infrastructure, things around us are falling apart. We are witnessing more businesses shutting down, especially restaurants. Just watch. All of them were created by Mr. Smiling GST( which is a rolling stone gathering up costs)! The ones that are still busy are cheap eats like Kaya Toast or fast food. We personally do not patronize restaurants because of the 10% SC plus 9% GST, which adds an additional 19% to the bill.

It's not looking good. Millionaires are not affected.

Soft approach will not bring a country together.

Soft approach does not translate to a secure, safe, and affordable country.

Soft approach does not make happiness.

Nor can he soft approach tally with good and peaceful lives.

Some people just have nothing better to write or say.

If the Genting resort cruise falls on holidays or weekends, this group of us would just pack our overnight bags for 2 nights to Penang, where we feasted on live king crabs, lobsters, oysters and sea cucumbers to name some. Bill estimated costs about RM1000. which is divided by 11 of us and costs $30 each.
An interior cabin for 4 costs $130 a night divided by 4 works out to $30 per head. One way to cut costs here by having a feast.

I think his job is easy as long as he is thick-skinned by ignoring the naysayers on social media.

Whether he do a bad job or not, who is going to remove him except during the election?

Only 3.7 million Singaporeans(citizens) are on a small island.

There is not enough opposition to oppose his policies. He can do what he likes. All the men he had were chosen by his own people? His bird nest is already on the ground. No need to climb up the tree

There is a new era. We don't want ministers only from elite schools, and sick of hearing that only people from top schools are geared for life.

False advertisements are on the rise. A lychee drink showing a price of $4.80 at a food court with a picture. Took out $5 to pay but was told that it cost $5.80. I asked why the price difference but was told that the price had gone up, the machine was updated to the new price, but the picture was not. They could just put a tape to cover the old price and scroll the new price. Misrepresentation. Businesses are struggling?

SM Lee appears too soft-hearted. His emotional nature seems like a vulnerability, leading ministers to exploit his leadership?

China's President Xi's wife has a good stylist๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ and dresses appropriately. Some of the black dresses๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿฟ worn last night seemed more suited for a funeral๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿฟ than a celebratory event. The world could be watching. Is this a new beginning for mourning? Admirably, they have great energy๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ and stamina๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ for playing politics. Some people can only watch for 10 minutes, already a lack of endurance๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿฟ.

What do you think new handsome, happy chipmunk PM will come out with soon.

I think he might come out with something like:" Life is precious. Those who do not have driving skills to put tyres around their car to bounce themselves off from danger."

In olden times we had a Father-Knows-Best and 8 out of 10 things that was proposed worked. Not only that when he talked, he can move/influence the country and stocks. When they did something it was for the love of the people. Now minister don't even know the meaning of corruption gifts. The fact is I only buy gifts for my own parents on Fathers/Mothers Day not randomly and that was only when I started earning an income. Now is they have a job to do even anyhow also never mind, at least they feel am doing something.

Ex-PM mentioned how he wished he was born later, yet the parents kept telling their children that if they didn't study hard, their lives would be hard, narrating that during their time properties and cars were easily attainable.

2. The Hainanese Clan

3. Those who won the lottery with the public's money by achieving the million-dollar sale price.

4. Those who like populist leaders.

Brilliant Economist- "If buy a condo with many units your maintenance fees are less cos more people sharing the cost."

1 Year Old- "Your prediction doesn't hold water. 734km² the population has increased like nobody's business yet GST and Taxes have not stopped increasing and more people means more collection. In the olden days, there were fewer people and tax collections were also low cos salaries not high."

Brilliant Economist- "More people means having to build more facilities eg schools, hospitals, transport and offices."

1 Year Old- "All these facilities are not free. They are collecting billions from land sales for more housing, and foreigners have no subsidies for medical or schools. They kept building new homes for the increased population meant increased stamp duty collection. Import duties collection also more for extra people."

Brilliant Economist- "We have no JLow, Najib or Rosnah here. You look around us and you can see the upkeep of the country. The infrastructure is tops."

90 Year Old man-" While spending on infrastructures, fewer workers are hired. Now auto auto-answer phones and hardly any enforcement personnel. But got cameras."

Brilliant Economist- " I am not an accountant."

One Year Old-"??????."

If any family is forthright and honest, they will tell you once the parents are gone no matter what ages the members are, they will begin to scatter. If we care for SGP we will pray that SM Lee lives forever.
