Lyrics - the moon represents my heart

This song is dedicated to my fellow citizens of Singapore and to the memory of President and Mrs. Ong Teng Cheong.

I sang this popular song in 4 languates, accompanied by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra. Here are the lyrics.

Dear Mr. Tan,

Thank you for this meaningful song.

I remembered that the late President Ong Teng Cheong was a very focused, perfect gentleman. He was much loved by all citizens of Singapore.

Deeply impressed by his mandarin speech delivered at the lunchtime election rally at Fullerton Square for the 1980 General Election. It was the best GE rally that I have had ever attended. The rally was officially scheduled to finish at 2.00pm, but due to the overwhelming response from a thundering crowd to which finally ended at around 3.30pm. During the rally, a dark cloud gathered with passing showers. The spirit was high and the spontaneous
strong response to every(top gun of the PAP) speaker was being heard throughout this historical moment of 4-hour long the PAP's election rally. The rest is history.

Maybe you might like to publish the lyrics to help love-struck individuals serenade each other across the racial divide and increase cross-cultural pollination and harmony.

I have seen it too, one of the 1800. It is a good attempt but I think you murdered the song. Of course, I hope there are many others who liked your voice quality but to me, it is not something I would like to listen to, a second time. Which is why there are only 7 "Likes".

The truth hurts but it is better than to be surrounded by yes-men who hypocritically agree with you but in actual fact, disagree with you.

I loved the song by Teresa Teng. Your singing just spoiled it - it is horrible and a torture. You should take some singing lessons if you intend to sing often. Else you may consider singing in the privacy of your home. Thank you.

@Anonymous, while I agree Teresa Teng's original version is great I feel Mr Tan is so courageous to sing this song at such an important occasion. What's more he sings it in 4 different languages...do remember Mr Tan is not a pro singer and it is quite unfair to compare him with Teresa or other pro singers.

Late Pres Ong had thrown questions
yet to be answered.

Who is the right person to interpre the consitution law - President Office?

What are the good practices by a EP for well being of ALL Singaporean ?
