State control of the media

I wish to give my views about state control of the media - whether it is in Singapore, China or other countries that are given a bad name for not allowing "freedom of the press".

Honest quotes;

Whoever controls the media, controls the mind.

People in the mass media tend more and more every day to look and act like elected and appointed officials.

All media exist to invest our lives with artificial perceptions and arbitrary values.

The media does not invest to lose. It will create something out of nothing, to gain readership.

GST is a pyramid structure scheme.

Every day, I walk down the street and tell passersby what I’ve eaten, how I feel, what I did the night before, and what I will do tomorrow. Then I give them pictures of my family, my dog, and me gardening. I also listen to their conversations and tell them I love them.
And it works. I already have three people following me… two police officers and a psychiatrist.

I asked my friend, “Hey, did you read that article about a social media platform that has some very toxic people, very questionable virtual communities, and people that come together to do amazing things?”
He replies: “Yeah, I Reddit.”

What did the virus name its social media account?
Influenza

Most people on social media are fake personas and trolls. They are dangerous and should be avoided. Not like TKL who is real.

Dubious reporting??? If numbers are less than 1000 it is not out of the ordinary for any developed country not only Singapore. What kind of bench-mark are these twisted facts
being used. At the moment a lot of western countries are being closed to the Chinese???

The super-rich are choosing Singapore as the world's safest haven
Money is sloshing around Singapore like never before. Family offices, Bentley sales and real estate prices are booming.(business Times)

People from other countries living and staying here dare not voice how the country was not as good as originally they thought it was, bcause it is their host country or not being wanting to end up like Casey. Doing an interview for the press or any show, one MUST say all the good things never mind the bad(backlash). What we read or hear is not authentic from them. During election time, they told us many foreigners like it here, we are doing things right. In spite of everything, most things are good, but not the best.

There are always 2 sides to a story. The person who relates only their side. No fire no smoke.

I had an altercation with a stranger in public. When the report was sent to me for mediation..it shooked the hell out of me that when the police report was sent to me..he was right and in every way and I was the aggressor..though both of us were equally at fault. I was grateful that I had the report..otherwise I would not have known how twisted the human nature could be. I would like to urged the public.. whether it is stomp or facebook or any other media entertainment not to make judgement till all facts are known. But then off course there would always be those who couldnt stop themselves from stirring shit because it is in their genes to do so? Makes them feel powerful.. in real life they probably only less than 5ft tall.

The trend now is focussing heavily on social media to get people on your side when you think somebody has wrong you. If and whenever someone did that to me, I would put it in the hands of lawyers for putting me on social media without my permission and intruding into my personal space. I would then go on a hiking trip for a month to avoid the backlash and also lock away my cell phone.

South Korea and Japan approved online bullying. Known around the world that stars committed suicide due to bullying. Sad😢. Price to pay for being public figures.
We do not be called UGLY SINGAPOREANS for nothing. Out for revenge. Creating awareness = not showing their faces only show what is needed to be shown.
