Apps developed by organizations

I have more than 50 apps on my mobile phone. Most of them are not necessary.

The wasteful ones are the apps developed by government agencies and the commercial companies, such as those that provide banking, telephone, utility and other services.

Here is an alternative that is easier for customers, reduces the development cost of the organizations and reduce the scams that is quite common.

Today, with more and more people having smartphones and access to the Internet( more so for

those under 65 yrs of age), companies have found that they can make way more money in the

digital economy. It is estimated that Apple is currently worth trillions and growing

astronomically. For those like Mr Tan Kin Lian who I believe is 75 yrs of age and still

apps capable, you have done well. My parents being 70 often find themselves anti-apps and

have not truly entered a digital age and they are happy that way.

We must distinguish between different types of technologies. Are our lives better off? Many believe that the world economy may be at the cusp explosion of new technologies and as long as it is labour saving, people are more likely to accept the churn be it at the discomfort of the minority.

Successful countries and economies use a mixture of models and are not overly dependent on one-size-fits-all all apps apps and apps. It should be up to the people to decide what is the right mix and not impose apps apps and apps on each and every one. The key is finding the right system to ensure cultural and economic differences that will thrive for all not just for the techies.
