Invest in AUD and NZ dollars

I asked a banker, if it is time to invest in the AUD and NZ currencies, as it has dropped by 10% against the yen. It seems to be at a more acceptable level now. He said that it is probably a good investment, as the interest rate in AUD and NZ are quite high, compared to other currencies.

Hi Mr Tan,

May we know where and how can we invest in foreign currencies like AUD and NZ?

The yen carry trade has not finish unravelling yet. So the other currencies still have room to drop. I think it is still too early to go into Australian and New Zealand dollar yet. Just my thoughts.

Dear Feline,

You can check with your local bank on FX FD rates and tenure. I also believe it is a good time to buy into AUD or NZD at this point in time. However, I am waiting for the market to stabalise a little more. There is word that the AUD might dip a little more towards the year end. Hope this helps. Mr Tan, am I about right?
