I have listened to many Republican politicians over CNBC and Bloomberg TV. They repeat the same statements, which are often based on rhetoric and not on the real situation. Their statements appear to be drafted by the lobbyists.

Totally agree.

And how can there be consumer demand if consumers are being retrenched from their jobs?

No jobs = no money = no demand

One hundred poor families will have a demand for 100 loaves of bread daily.

One rich family can only demand & eat one loaf of bread daily.

Help the poor to create more demand and employment.

Helping the rich does not create more demand and more employment.

Republicans are fervent supporters of 'Trickle-down Economics' which is proven to be a fraud. Guess who else is also a die-hard believer of this economic nonsense? :)
