This is a fabulous article. One of the hardest-hitting pieces I've read about the current state of Singapore and the incredibly absurdities within it. What makes it all the more amazing is that you hardly needed to say anything at all - the facts speak for themselves.

Guess the Govt is working towards

1) having the highest water rates,
2) having the most costly food,
3) having the highest public
transport charges,
4) having the most costly clothings
5) working towards charging the
most expensive medical care and
medications in the world,
surpassing even those in US.

God Almighty, help us poor church mice in Singapore, very soon we have to pay even for the air we breathe in, and even for stepping out of our homes onto the public roads. Nothing will be free in Singapore is OK, but to pay for the most costly goods and services in the whole wide world, is inhuman and out of this world. And to rub salt into our wounds, the political Elites, whose past incompetent policies contributed to such a state here, get their pay increasing further, so as to attract and replenish the "talents" pool that has been hollowing out over the years.
No more real talents wan to join the PAP Govt any more, only the mediocre and the gold diggers are interested.
The British National Anthem says,
"God save the Queen." We follow with a "God save our country, Singapore." Before we deteriorate to a state of no return, and be swallowed up.

While God is trying his best to save us from destruction, both the people and the government must also co-operate and to treat each other as partners. At this moment, the PAP government is being seen to be incapable of 'change', and only try to maintain a 'status quo' despite saying(by PM Lee) sorry twice to the electorates in the last GE rally at UOB Plaza sometime in May 2011.

To compromise on 'INTEGRITY' is to invite more troubles. The sooner the rulers understand that, the better for our country.
