The Chilcot report on the Iraq War

The Singapore government strongly supported the war in Iraq in 2003. They are now proven wrong by the Chilcot report. They need to explain their decision and poor judgment.

There is a lot of difference between being clever and being smart.
Our PAP Govt is very clever, clever people are fast opportunists, latching onto whoever has power to help them climb the wall like a weed, hoping they could extract some benefits.
Smart people are philosophers, think long term and look further ahead, think about possible outcomes.
Rise of terrorism stems from American interference in other peoples' countries, with seemingly noble vision of human rights protection and instilling democracy, but the real reason is oil supply control of Middle East. Was our Govt aware of this, or just wearing blinkers to support just for sake of blind support.
So was Singapore smart or just plain stupid. Would our Govt repeat same stupid mistake in this South China Seas dispute?
