When we were young, whatever our parents said or talked to us, we tend to consider them old-fashion or naggy. We had no idea they were worried for us all the time and the love they had for us was paramount. We felt like they were building a prison wall around us. Out of respect for them, we told lies so as not to hurt them and also feared being shouted and being punished.
Now only that we are parents, is only when we understood even when they are not here to lecture us, we are going through Deja Vu. We are walking in their shoes. We understood.
The ministers will never ever understand because they are not walking in our shoes. To most of us, they are just creatures of habit with no conscience. A man is not what he is, but what he hides.
I heard a rumour that some big establishment shopping centres charged 30% of profits incurred from their tenants in the contract when the tenancy was signed with a sinking fund. It is not just the rental. Include GST businesses are fighting for survival. Just imagine the jack-up in prices for the customers to pay just to cover the breakeven, let alone profits.
