Sometimes people say things happen in threes, not sure if it is true. But it is true that bad luck runs in threes.
HSK was promoted by the media, all the loud voices, the cabinet and even the Prime Minister that he was the right choice. It was not until he scored 53% against a newbie opposition (not tried or tested) that he realise he was everybody's choice except the voters.
The fate of Lawrence Wong might be a repeat of HSK if the opposition has strong candidates in the coming elections eg more of TCB, Jamus or Nicole. Nothing is set in stone yet. When a country and lives are at stake, we cannot afford to have someone weak trying to punish the general public but their own people no punishment.

Politicians should be judged by the work they do and achieve and not doing the spin doctors.

Not many criteria to choose from other than voting for the lesser evil.

It is dangerous to keep the same people in power for a long time.

Be grateful for the little things. One is we have elections and a chance to vote.

Many people are familiar with Michael PHELPS(6ft. 4 inches tall), who is widely known to be the greatest Olympian

swimmer. Few people know about Hitcham Guerrouj(5ft. 9 inches tall) who was a fantastic Morrocan runner who holds

two Olympic gold medals for many years. Despite their difference in height(7 inches), the 2

wear the same length inseam in pants. Phelps has short legs and a long torso(perfect for

swimming. Guerrouj has long legs and short body(ideal for distance running). The secret

to maximizing your odds of success is to choose your right field, and excepting the right

truth that people are born with different abilities. The obvious question is, 'How did

the PAP not only have every answer that they are right and always right?'

If political leaders are not willing to improve and change themselves, then citizens must improve and change their leaders.
History, however, indicates that in fact wise enough to select the right persons as their leaders.
