Efficiency means doing things correctly; effectiveness means doing the correct things.

Simplicity is easy, while complexity is the real challenge.

One machine can perform the work of fifty ordinary men, but no machine can replace an extraordinary man.

The ideal and the reality don’t always match up.

Disappointment is a part of life; disillusionment is a lesson in life.

The greater your expectations, the greater your disappointment.

No money no talk. Got money got talk. Relationship managers with banks just a personal phone call away?

Money talks Wealth whispers.

In this day and age, what you see is not what you get.
Chicken rice, at the hawker centre, the price stated $5.80 with juicy chunks of chicken, soup and a small plate of bean sprouts.

But when served, you only get about 7 slices of skinny chicken meat and plain soup with toppings of spring onions. The picture was only for display only.

DBS's main business priority is generating profits, which determines the bank's well-being. The staff mainly comes from Malaysia, the Philippines, and India.

Staff come here to work solely to earn a living, not for anything else, but most are suited for the hospitality industry.

This issue has nothing to do with DBS's poor service hor. It's about how the

police treated the murderer in Clementi as if he were a showpiece. When Tan

Chuan Jin had an affair, SML said his family were innocent—they did not deserve the pain that followed.

It was a criminal offence, and he was caught. One family has just lost a son, husband, and father, while another family is facing a similar tragedy. Why is there a lack of human compassion for the innocent? Regressing all the way!

You can’t please everyone, so don’t waste your energy trying. If you attempt to do so, you are setting yourself up for a life filled with frustration and disappointment 😔, because even when you try to please people, it doesn’t always work.

If you base your life on trying to satisfy the endless desires of others in order to gain their approval 👍, you will soon discover that this cycle never ends. The quest for ‘more’ continues until your own journey ends.

The more you try to please others, the more you risk losing yourself 😟. You may find yourself compromising your beliefs and values, ending up doing things you don’t truly believe in. Ultimately, this leads to a greater cost: losing your sense of self.

You become free when you understand that, while you will always need connections with others 🤝, you are not meant for everyone. Not everyone will love you, and not everyone will dislike you. Accepting that you can’t please everyone is perfectly fine.

Live your life by upholding your values, standing firm on what is true, and striving to be a person of integrity 🌈. Touch lives with what you have to offer. Understand that not everyone will feel the same, and that’s okay.

"I, the leader of the opposition, sincerely apologize to the people of Singapore. On August 7th, Khan admitted to me over the phone that she had fabricated the story about accompanying a rape victim to make a police report in Parliament. We hope to put these doubts to rest and move forward as the Workers’ Party. We also trust that the law will be fair to all and that justice will be served accordingly. As a leader it is utmost importance that I do the right thing." ( Dated 10th August 2021)

Overly paid to afford this kind of legal drama. No need to end up he says, she says, they say. Now becomes like grabbing straws.

I just received my 7th Covid jab.

The staff at the vaccination center have been truly wonderful and welcoming during all my visits.

The service was excellent, and I left feeling uplifted.

Thank you, Ministry of Health!

Why is everywhere so quiet?
Shop owners are complaining that businesses are very slow.
Some claim that it was the O and A level exams.
But not all taking exams right?
Is this country driving people away during school holidays?

“There are 4 types of wealth:"

1. Financial wealth (money)
2.Social wealth (status)
3.Time wealth (freedom)
4.Physical wealth (health)

Be wary of jobs that lure you in with 1 and 2, but rob you of 3 and 4.

The silent killer of alcohol. It damages your internal organs slowly and it also causes distress and danger publicly and in homes. Yet, drunks are everywhere in the night spots and places where alcohol is sold freely.

Most countries(Dubai, Brunei, Saudi and Muslim countries) legally prohibit the consumption of alcohol in public places some due to religion, others due to the safety of the individuals and the surroundings.

The ban could upset a small group of alcoholics or the collection of GST, but the overall benefits outweigh it.

This country has enough social and mental problems judging from its daily news.

It is considered uncool and unmanly to drink orange juice when clubbing. Not everyone can hold down alcohol. See how many people are vomiting outside the club. Alcohol on an empty stomach, as not all cubs serve food.

Some businesses only accept cash, PayNow, PayLah, or NETS.

They are unwilling to pay the credit card fees to banks.

Foodie Market Place only accepts cash and nets payments.
Some say it was becoz some ex-pats were leaving and they had already cancelled their bank accounts here.

If you do not have a PIN to lock your phone, some banks will not allow online banking transactions due to security concerns that someone else might use your phone. Another layer of security.

Banks focus on making money rather than on helping people.

You are considered excellent in your field as long as profits continue to rise, even if it comes at the expense of screwing the humans. Bonuses tied to profits should not serve as a benchmark.

"Profits Before People" - business ethics and corporate responsibility. It raises questions about the prioritisation of financial gain over the wellbeing of customers and the community at large.

Balancing profits and people is benefits long-term success. Businesses that balance both tend to think of customer loyalty, their reputation, and create a more sustainable future. Finding that balance that leads to a healthier and trusted organization benefits everyone.

Some said that companies should think primarily on profits to ensure growth, sustainability, and shareholder . They believe that maximizing profits can lead to job creation, technological advancements, and overall economic progress.

On the other hand, critics argue that focusing on profits can lead to exploitation, poor working conditions, and neglect of social responsibilities and ethics.

What will Banks Singtel, SIA, Insurances and Malls getaway get away with next?

Trust can be hard to establish when answers are not direct for several reasons. Trust is lacking in this country. Everyone is about saving their own skin.

When responses are vague or indirect, they are difficult to understand.

Roundabout answers can create suspicion about whether the responder is being honest.

Direct answers often convey confidence. Others may suspect their knowledge or authority on the subject if someone is hesitant or doesn't provide straightforward responses.

Overall, trust is not built on reading from script or books for answers.

The phrase "actions speak louder than words" carries more weight than what ppl say. It's a reminder that intentions and promises mean little if not backed up by tangible deeds. Those in public office can talk about their values and beliefs, but their actions reveal their true color. Ultimately, it’s their actions that leave a lasting impact. When it comes to talking only, my baby also can.

▒Living a miserable life after retirement▒

My blue-collar job parents retired recently.

I brought them to see their MP because they mentioned that smoke from joss sticks ( depending on the direction of the wind) was blowing into their home daily to their three-room HDB flat.

The MP informed us that we cannot stop others from practising their religious beliefs and that the government has been trying to improve the designs of recent Built- To- Order (BTO) flats. The suggested remedy was to simply shut the windows when the smell becomes overwhelming to compromise harmonious living.
