I thought our Lim Swee Say says that foreign talent are here to help generate jobs for us? Why are they looking for jobs and competing with Singaporeans even for packer, office attendant jobs? I was in the queue for a free shuttle service from Suntech City to the MRT station and noticed that all those in the queue are foreigners, look like Indonesian FTs. Why are these rich Indonesians queuing up and taking all those seats thus leaving me still in the queue after the bus came and gone?

The part-time work application portal is an excellent job search platform particularly for the Singapore workers retrenched or going through hard times. However the job fit parameter therein is specific and narrow. Can it be tweaked to include another category of people who may have some unique services to offer - like someone having a car who is prepared to deliver documents/small items, provide transport and personal services to those with special needs, or a jobless woman with excellent culinary skills, who is prepared to provide home cooked food for small family gatherings or occasions
