Economic growth and happiness

Read this article.

My view.
I like the comment, "If economic growth comes down, so what?" We need a better way to distribute the economic pie, rather than pursue growth for its sake. Read my views here about the future that I like to see.

I hope the Singapore government will take note of other indicators other than the GDP. From the below video, Chip Conley suggested measuring the happiness index of the people instead of GDP. A country is successful only if its people are happy and satisfied.

Hi Mr Tan,

Do this mean there will be salaries increase and upward review based on the growth numbers announced recently in the newspapers for all government sectors and all the Ministers as their salaries are based on performance as the bench mark?

I wonder??
