Respectfully, I understand the above is a highfalutin way of saying:
"It's business as usual"

Or

"We've dug ourselves into a hole. We will continue to dig. But we promise to use better tools in the future."

May I draw your attention to a remarkable daughter of Singapore, Ms Catherine Lim.

In my mind, Ms Lim was the first patriot to publicly call out the iceberg warning on board SS Titanic-Singapore. This was back in 3rd Sept 1994 (about 17 years ago).

Back then, 17 years ago, I did NOT bother reading Catherine's article "PAP and the People – A Great Affective Divide".

I was a die-hard PAP believer.

I read the article this afternoon. It remains as fresh and relevant today as it did 17 years ago.

It is I who have a lot of repenting to do.
