Update on Country Garden

 I invested S$262,000 in Country Garden (2007.HK) and now see a loss of S$125,000.The stock is now suspended from trading.

An exaggeration fallacy to someone else's Country Garden.



10 years ago, a young family moved to City Beach in Perth. Regrettably, their initial experience was underwhelming, as the area lacked entertainment options, and most shops closed early. This quietness only served to amplify their unease. The family fully paid $480,000 to purchase a 4+1 GCB with a pool. Their three children found solace in their bedrooms, coming out only for food in the kitchen, leading them to question their decision.



However, perseverance paid off, and today, the family of five relishes spending quality time together at home with each other's own space and privacy. The parents have managed to raise two more children on a single income, as there are limited opportunities for discretionary spending in the area, with supermarkets as the primary shopping destination. The doctor father had plans to retire early as it was easy to save money. The kitchen is generously furnished with a large freezer, a super-size fridge, a spacious air-fryer, and an oversized deep-fryer, enabling convenient, flexible meal preparation when they want.

Celebrations were at the pool and barbecue with friends. The young might find the city not lively, but the parents do not have to spend sleepless nights not knowing the dangers their children are up to outside till the wee hours of the morning.

*If you are a city person, this is not for anyone. Besides, immigration application is not easy nowadays.

I asked my friends why they wanted to move to a country that is not safe. They said they feel safe because they are living in the Orchard Road enclave overseas.

China's President Xi's wife has a good stylist👍🏿 and dresses appropriately. Some of the black dresses👎🏿 worn last night seemed more suited for a funeral👎🏿 than a celebratory event. The world could be watching. Is this a new beginning for mourning? Admirably, they have great energy👍🏿 and stamina👍🏿 for playing politics. Some people can only watch for 10 minutes, already a lack of endurance👎🏿.
