I have a couple of Structured products with OCBC and POSB/DBS. I bought them as I was assured that they are capital protected. I went to both banks recently expressing my concern. They reassured me of the capital protection and told me that should I terminate I shall loss a couple of thousand dollars for each. They also said that these are different from the Lehman notes/minibond and I should not worry.
I really do not want to loss any of my hard earned money. One will end the end of this year. Another next year and 2 will end in 2011. Should I terminate and take the risk of losing about $4,000/- rather than loss my entire amount of $50,000/=? I thank you in advance for your advice.
