We would look beyond the sporadic floodings if the Minister in charge is paid the same salary as his Japanese counterpart. You pay youself world's top pay, we demand world's tip top performance, even for sporadic floodings.
There is no such thing as an expensive lunch with low quality work done. You've got to prove your worth, man.

Hahaha , dont forget too which one is truly the case of no amount of engineering can prevent flooding? Which one is negligence and complacency? The floods in Japan after Tsunami or the Spore floods that happened only after few hours of rain. Obviously the rulers of this red dot island want its people to be daft and uncomplaining. Yet call its people daft when they actually want daft people. What a daft.
